After many discussion on technical details and review of the structural design drawings, and the analysis of seismic loads, CHINA ROYAL STEEL offered a total solution utilizing H-beams, angle steels and steel plates - all customized to the demanding specifications of the government building. The key advantages are:
H-Beams (Primary Load-Bearing Frame): The column and beam of the building frame were made from Q355B (comparable with ASTM A36) grade H-beams, which is a kind of warm rolled steel H-beam. These H beams are strong in load-bearing and earthquake resistance with a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 470 MPa. To satisfy different floor levels and building sections, customized dimensions (height: 200–600 mm, flange width: 100–250 mm, web thickness: 6–14 mm) were utilized.
Angle Steels (Structural Bracing & Framing): Q235B (equal to ASTM A283 Gr.C) angle steels were utilized for cross-bracing, roof truss connections and wall framing. The outstanding ductility and bendability of these steels contribute to a more stable structure and seismic resistance. Personalized dimensions (leg length: 50–125 mm, thickness: 5–10 mm) were adapted to complex connection needs in non load bearing construction and architectural applications where greater stability is necessary.
Steel Sheet (Floor Slabs, Structural Strengthening): ASTM A36 steel plates were employed for the floor slabs and areas of significant structural strengthening. Plates make smooth welding with H beams and stable load transfer under the condition of equal thickness (8~20mm) and high flatness and strict Surface Quality Management.
Quality Compliance: The chemical composition, mechanic properties and dimension precision of all the steel profiles are tested strictly. They are fully complaint to ASTM International standards, local El Salvador, local Building codes, and complete Quality Certificates are given for your submitted to the government for project acceptance.
