At present, in the construction of a cross-river bridge in South China, ASTM A572-50 H beams have been used in the main truss structure, effectively solving the problem of bearing pressure under complex weather conditions and ensuring the service life of the bridge.
In addition, ASTM A572-50 wide flange beams, as a derivative product of H-beam, have further expanded the application scope of H-beam in the construction industry. With its wider flange width, this type of beam can better distribute the load and improve the stability of the structure. It has been widely used in the construction of large-scale commercial complexes and industrial plants in recent years. A person in charge of a steel production enterprise said: "In the first half of this year, the order volume of ASTM A572-50 wide flange beams increased by 40% year-on-year, and the products have also been exported to Southeast Asian markets, becoming a new growth point for our export business."
