Universal Beam production process
1. Preparation of raw materials
The main raw materials of channel steel are iron ore, limestone, coal and oxygen. These raw materials need to be prepared before production to ensure the continuity and efficiency of the production process.
2. Smelting
The raw materials are melted in a blast furnace and become molten iron. After the molten iron undergoes slag removal treatment, it is moved to a converter or electric furnace for refining and blending. By controlling parameters such as pouring volume and oxygen flow, the components in the molten iron are adjusted to the appropriate ratio to prepare for the next step of rolling.
3. Rolling
After smelting, the molten iron flows from top to bottom in the continuous casting machine to form a high-temperature billet. The billet undergoes a series of rolling operations in the rolling mill and finally becomes channel steel with specifications and dimensions. Watering and cooling are continuously performed during rolling to control the temperature of the steel and ensure product quality.
4. Cutting
The produced channel steel needs to be cut and segmented according to customer requirements. There are various cutting methods, such as welding sawing and flame cutting, among which flame cutting technology is more commonly used. The cut channel steel is inspected again to ensure that the quality of each section of steel meets the requirements.
5. Testing
The last step is to conduct various tests on the channel steel products. Including testing of dimensions, weight, mechanical properties, chemical composition, etc. Only channel steel products that pass the inspection can enter the market.
