Steel Sheet Pile Locking and waterproof performance
Design: Interlocking Steel Sheet Pile, permeability ≤1×10⁻⁷ cm/s
Americas: Complies with ASTM D5887 Standard for a Liner To Minimize Seepage Beneath Drums.
Southeast Asia: Groundwater-seepage proof for tropical rainy seasons
Steel Sheet Pile Production process
The production of steel sheet piles is carried out through a controlled hot-rolling process to ensure high strength, precise interlocking performance, and consistent quality.
1. Raw Material Selection
High-quality steel billets (such as S235, S275, S355) are selected and inspected for chemical composition and internal quality.
2. Heating Process
The billets are heated in a reheating furnace to a high temperature to achieve optimal plasticity for rolling.
3. Hot Rolling Formation
The heated steel is passed through a series of rolling mills to gradually form the required sheet pile profile (U-type, Z-type, or straight web sections).
4. Interlock Forming
Precision rolling equipment forms the interlocking system, ensuring tight connection between adjacent piles for effective water and soil retention.
5. Cooling Process
The formed sheet piles are cooled under controlled conditions to stabilize mechanical properties and prevent deformation.
6. Straightening & Cutting
Piles are straightened, cut to required lengths, and checked for dimensional accuracy and tolerance compliance.
7. Surface Treatment (Optional)
Options include hot-dip galvanizing, painting, or anti-corrosion coatings for enhanced durability in marine and underground environments.
8. Quality Inspection
Final inspection includes dimensional testing, visual inspection, and mechanical property verification according to EN / ASTM standards.
9. Packaging & Shipping
Products are bundled, labeled, and prepared for seaworthy export packaging and global shipment.
This process ensures high strength, reliable interlock performance, and long service life for construction, marine, and foundation engineering applications.
Steel Sheet Pile Surface
Americas:The HDG coating is performed to meet the requirements of ASTM A123/ISO 1461, with a minimum thickness of zinc coating ≥ 85 μm for good corrosion resistance and long service life. A 3PE coating system is also optional for better protection in aggressive environments like marine and underground. All surface processing is RoHS compliant and meets international environmental and export standards.
Southeast Asia: Hot-dip galvanizing of ≥100 μm thickness, together with the two-layer epoxy coal tar system, provides excellent long-term corrosion protection and salt spray performance of more than 5,000 hours. Therefore, the product is particularly applicable to tropical marine and strong corrosive environments and can provide a long service life for the user in applications in seaside and sea areas.
APPLICATION
Steel sheet piles have been extensively applied in civil engineering, marine engineering, and the infrastructure field with high strength, durability, and a good interlock system.
Retaining Structures: Used in retaining walls and slope stability applications, underwent basement excavation to hold back soil.
Waterfront & Marine Works: Allowed for quay walls, port terminals, seawalls, breakwaters, and coastal protection structures.
Deep Foundation Engineering: For cofferdams, bridge footings, and earth excavation work in water and other applications to isolate water and soil.
Flood Control Projects: Employed in controlling the water and protecting from the water in the river with dikes and anti-flooding barriers as well as in draining it.
Infrastructure Construction: The applications of products in tunnels, highways, railways, underground utility corridors, and other areas of infrastructure construction for structural support and earth retention are numerous.
Temporary Structures: Suitable for temporary excavation support systems in construction sites, offering easy installation and removal.
Steel sheet piles ensure a proven earth retention, water tightness, and long-term structural stability for both permanent and temporary works.
