Q235B/Q355B Steel Sheet Pile Locking and waterproof performance
Design: Interlocking Steel Sheet Pile, permeability ≤1×10⁻⁷ cm/s
Americas: Meets ASTM D5887 Standard for a Liner to Reduce Seepage Under Drums
Southeast Asia: Groundwater-seepage proof for tropical rainy seasons
Q235B/Q355B Steel Sheet Pile Production process
Step 1: Heating: The steel billet (rectangular billet) is fed into a heating furnace and heated to above 1200°C.
Step 2: Rough Rolling: Initial thinning and shape stretching are performed using a rough rolling mill.
Step 3: Universal Rolling: The steel is rolled into a U-shaped cross-section using a specialized rolling mill with special roll passes.
Step 4: Cutting to Length: After rolling, the steel is cut to the required length using a hot saw. Cooling and Straightening: The steel is naturally cooled on a cooling bed and mechanically straightened to ensure flatness.
Q235B/Q355B Steel Sheet Pile Surface
Americas:HDG as ASTM A123 (min zinc coat ≥ 85 µm); 3PE coating is optional; all finishes RoHS compliant.
Southeast Asia:A thick hot-dip galvanizing layer (≥100μm) with dual epoxy coal tar coating provides more than 5000 hours of salt spray protection, which is suitable for use in tropical marine environment.
APPLICATION
1. Excavation Support: This is the most common application, primarily used to prevent the collapse of surrounding soil and groundwater seepage.
2. Waterfront Structures: Due to the effective water-stopping properties of U-shaped interlocking joints, it performs exceptionally well in water-related projects.
3. Environmental and Disaster Prevention: Steel sheet piles are driven into the ground around landfills or chemical plants to form vertical impermeable walls, preventing harmful substances from seeping into the groundwater.
4. Transportation Infrastructure: Support structures for bridge abutments or as permanent protective facilities around bridge piers.
Advantages of U-shaped piles
1.A complete range of section sizes covers multiple series with diverse geometric parameters, allowing customers to select the most technically feasible and cost-effective solutions for every project. We maintain an in-stock inventory of over 80,000 tons of hot‑rolled U-type steel sheet piles.
2.Optimized wave depth and flange thickness deliver outstanding structural performance and superior mechanical properties.
3.The symmetrical single-piece design ensures high stability and excellent reusability for repeated construction applications.
4.Factory pre-assembly and paired fixing are available in advance, effectively improving on-site installation efficiency, overall construction quality and structural service performance.
PACKAGING AND SHIPPING
Packaging
