Short Description:

Galvanized coils are made by dipping thin steel sheets into a bath of molten zinc, forming a thin layer of zinc on the surface. This process is primarily produced using a continuous galvanizing process, whereby the coiled steel sheets are continuously immersed in a bath of molten zinc. Also known as alloyed galvanized steel sheets, these are also produced using the hot-dip method, but immediately after exiting the bath, they are heated to approximately 500°C to form a zinc-iron alloy coating. This type of galvanized coil exhibits excellent coating adhesion and weldability.
