Q235B/Q355B Steel Sheet Pile Locking and waterproof performance
Design: Interlocking Steel Sheet Pile, permeability ≤1×10⁻⁷ cm/s
Americas: Meets ASTM D5887 Standard for a Liner to Reduce Seepage Under Drums
Southeast Asia: Groundwater-seepage proof for tropical rainy seasons
Q235B/Q355B Steel Sheet Pile Production process
1. Raw Material Preparation: Steel billets (Q235B, Q355B) are heated to 1100–1250°C before rolling.
2. Rough Rolling: The billets are rolled to reduce thickness and form the basic shape.
3. Finish Rolling (Key Step): Using specialized rolling mills, the steel is formed into U type or Z type sheet piles, including the interlock structure in one process.
4. Cooling & Straightening: Controlled cooling ensures strength, followed by straightening for dimensional accuracy.
5. Cutting to Length: Standard lengths: 6m, 9m, 12m, up to 24m, or customized.
6. Surface Treatment (Optional)
Black (original)
Hot-dip galvanized
Epoxy coating (for marine use)
7. Inspection & Packaging: Final inspection includes size, mechanical properties, and interlock fit.
Q235B/Q355B Steel Sheet Pile Surface
Americas:HDG as ASTM A123 (min zinc coat ≥ 85 µm); 3PE coating is optional; all finishes RoHS compliant.
Southeast Asia:Hot-dip galvanizing (≥100μm) combined with dual epoxy coal tar coating ensures over 5000 hours of salt spray resistance, making it ideal for tropical marine environments.
APPLICATION
Harbor Construction: Employed for use in harbors, docks, and quays, it offers high structural strength and sustainability in marine environment.
River Protection: For riverbank stabilization, erosion control and water flow and flood resistance.
Bridge Foundations: Great for deep foundation systems and stability in heavy structural loading.
Underground Structures: Used in basements, tunnels and other subterranean works, it enables secure soil retention and excavation support.
