AZ Type Steel Sheet Pile Corrosion prevention solution
Americas: HDG (according to ASTM A123, zinc thickness ≥ 85μm) + optional 3PE coating, marked "Environmentally friendly RoHS compliant".
Southeast Asia: The hot-dip galvanizing (zinc ≥100μm) with the epoxy coal tar coating provides excellent corrosion protection, the salt spray test failures have always been 0 at 5,000 hours, suitable for tropical marine environments.
AZ Type Steel Sheet Pile Locking
Design: Z-shape interlock, permeability ≤1×10⁻⁷cm/s
America: Meets the requirements of ASTM D5887, the standard test method for penetration of water through foundation and retaining walls.
Southeast Asia: High groundwater and flood-seepage resistance for tropical and monsoonal regions
AZ Type Steel Sheet Pile Production Process
Steel Selection:
Choose high-quality structural steel according to certain mechanical property requirements.
Heating:
Heat billets/slabs to ~1,200°C for malleability.
Hot Rolling:
Shape steel into Z-profile with rolling mills.
Cooling:
Cool at Cool or tap water spray dote until the target water content was reached.
Straightening & Cutting:
Maintain the accuracy of the tolerance while cutting the material to standard or custom lengths.
Quality Inspection:
Perform dimensional, mechanical and visual inspections.
Surface Treatment (Optional):
If required, apply paint, galvanize or protect from rust.
Packaging & Shipping:
Pack, protect, and pick up for shipping.
AZ Type Steel Sheet Pile Main Application
Retaining Walls - Time tested soil support for earth and foundation work.
Cofferdams - Retaining walls that enable control of water flow in a work space.
Port & Harbor Projects – Applicable for the construction of quay walls, docks, and marine works.
Stormwater Control & Streambank Stabilization – Banks and levees are fortified with fiber reinforcement and sediment control.
Why Choose Z Type Steel Sheet Piles
1.Higher Strength, Less Material Used: AZ piles have a larger section modulus than traditional U type sheet piles, allowing for a more effective and efficient use of fewer piles to achieve the same strength.
2.Cost Effective for Large Work: Less consumption of steel = less cost for entire work this is especially the case for long retaining walls and deep excavation.
3.Good Performance in the Extreme Conditions: Marine and coastal engineering (with optional HDG or anti-corrosion coating).
4.Global Standard: Made to EN 10248 / ASTM / JIS A5528 for worldwide project application.
