Features
The characteristic of U-shaped steel sheet piles is that they have locking edges. Their function is to retain soil and water. The common classification of U-shaped steel sheet piles nowadays is into cold-formed and hot-rolled types. Due to the different processes, their properties are also different, and thus they are suitable for application in various construction projects.
1. Hot rolled U steel sheet piles are produced via hot rolling process. They feature robust strength, solid wear resistance and firm interlocks to bear heavy loads. Its tight interlock delivers stable performance under heavy loads. It is widely adopted in major works including deep excavations, harbors, flood defense and high rise foundations.
2.Cold-rolled steel sheet piles: Good value for money Cold-formed Cold formed U steel sheet piles work well for light load projects including small retaining barriers, temporary excavation bracing and municipal landscape works. Fabricated by bending thin steel panels, they feature low weight for easy transport and installation, with competitive cost and diverse profiles.
Application
U-shaped steel sheet piles, with their excellent locking joint bonding performance, are widely used in various retaining and waterproofing support projects. After the locking joints are assembled, a sealed and continuous retaining wall can be formed, providing stable water-stop and seepage prevention effects.
- Waterborne cofferdams: Construction of piers and cofferdams in river channels and water-adjacent areas, isolating the water body and creating a dry construction space for underwater operations;
-Foundation pit support: It is applied in the deep foundation pit construction of municipal and housing construction projects. Its function is to resist lateral soil pressure and prevent the slope from collapsing;
-Riverbank slope protection: When used to reinforce the river embankment slope, its function is to resist water erosion and maintain the stability of the bank slope.
- Temporary support trenches: Guarding and protecting pipeline trenches and underground pipe networks, with quick construction and recoverable after completion, allowing for reuse.
This product is suitable for projects in ports, water conservancy, roads and bridges, and municipal infrastructure. It has a short construction period, strong bearing capacity, and takes into account both practicality and economy.
Production Process
Packaging & Shipping
The U-shaped steel sheet piles are packed and loaded onto vehicles by means of binding and securing. They are tightly bound with steel straps to prevent any sliding, collision or deformation during transportation.
We have professional lifting equipment and operators on hand. We complete the lifting, tallying, loading onto vehicles and loading into containers operations in a standardized manner throughout the process.
We can adapt to various transportation solutions such as containers and flatbed trucks, and support both land and sea transportation for export, ensuring that the goods are safely and on-time delivered to the project site.
