ASTM A690 Steel Sheet Pile Locking and waterproof performance
Design: Interlocking Steel Sheet Pile, permeability ≤1×10⁻⁷ cm/s
Americas: Meets ASTM D5887 Standard for a Liner to Reduce Seepage Under Drums
Southeast Asia: Groundwater-seepage proof for tropical rainy seasons
ASTM A690 Steel Sheet Pile Production process
1. Raw Materials Selection
Marine grade steel with additions of Cu, Ni and Cr is chosen for the surface layer offering superior corrosion resistance in the seawater environment.
2.Heat in furnace
The steel is treated at a high temperature to enhance the plasticity and make it easy to be accurately formed during rolling.
3.Hot Rolling
U-type, Z-type and Larssen sheet pile profiles with high interlocking performance are hot rolled.
4.Cooling and straightening
The controlled cooling stabilizes the material, straightening is done for dimensional and straightness accuracy.
5.Surface Finishing
Optional coatings or anti-rust treatment are available to extend the life in sea water.
6.Cutting and Customization
Sheet piles are cut to length, further processing can be carried out if your project requires it.
7.Quality Inspection
Chemical composition, mechanical properties and dimensions are tested rigorously and MTC is provided.
ASTM A690 Steel Sheet Pile Surface
Americas:HDG as ASTM A123 (min zinc coat ≥ 85 µm); 3PE coating is optional; all finishes RoHS compliant.
Southeast Asia:The thickness of hot dip galvanized is hollyh (over 100μm), and two layers of epoxy coal tar coating are applied, it can be salt sprayed tested for 5000 hours without rust, is the best for tropical marine environment use.
APPLICATION
1.Harbor Building Steel Pile: Application for port, dock and quay wall construction, superb strength for structural support and durable service-life in the marine environment.
2.River Defense Steel Pile: Engineered to reinforce foundation of riverbanks, treat soil erosion and shield against the impact of river flow and river flooding.
3.Bridge Foundation Steel Pile: Suitable for use in bridge foundation construction to obtain deep foundation and structural stability under heavy structural gain.
4.Underground Facility Steel Pile: Used in basements, tunnels and underground buildings for dependable soil retention and excavation support.
