Hot Rolled U Type Steel Sheet Pile Locking and waterproof performance
Design: Yin-yang interlock, permeability ≤1×10⁻⁷ cm/s
Americas: Meets ASTM D5887 Standard for a Liner to Reduce Seepage Under Drums
Southeast Asia: Groundwater-seepage proof for tropical rainy seasons
Hot Rolled U Type Steel Sheet Pile Production process
1.Selection of raw materials
The steel billets used are of high-quality, and the chemical composition (C, Mn, P, S, Si) is strictly controlled to conform with SY295 / SY390 standards.
To guarantee good strength, toughness and weldability.
2.Heating
In order to hot roll the steel billets have to be heated in a furnace to above the recrystallization temperature (~1200°C).
3.Hot Rolling
Billets are rolled in several passes to obtain the desired thickness and shape (U-type, Z-type, or AZ-type).
The rolling temperature and speed are adjusted to produce a uniform strength and compact microstructure.
4.Straightening & Cutting
The hot-rolled piles are straightened to be flat and to the size.
Cut to length to customer specification, usually cut to 6m-18m, can be customized.
5.Optional Interlock Forming
Some profiles are machined to form interlocking pieces that come together with water-tight contacts and structural integrity.
6.Surface Treatment
Available options:
Mill Finish (plain)
Hot-Dip Galvanized
Coated or Painted
Improve corrosion resistance and prolong service life, applicable to marine or river works.
7.Quality Inspection & Delivery
Tight dimension control and chemical and mechanical properties (yield strength, tensile strength) are known.
Pack and ship in bulk for international projects.
Hot Rolled U Type Steel Sheet Pile Surface
Americas:HDG to ASTM A123 (min zinc coat ≥ 85 µm); 3PE coating is optional; all finishes comply with RoHS.
Southeast Asia:Hot dip galvanized is hollyh thick (more than 100μm), and two layers of epoxy coal tar coating are applied, it can be salt sprayed tested for 5000 hrs without rust, is the best for use in tropical marine environment.
APPLICATION
1.Projects for Flood Control on Rivers
National Capability River Flood Control sheet piles and river flood sandbaging Steel sheet piles are the main use for riverbank protection and river flood control systems providing us strong water resistance and long term high water stability.
2.Coastal Protection Engineering
Seawalls and Coastal Barriers Steel sheet piles are the most effective solution to protect against erosion and it has a high corrosion resistance rating for use in the marine environment.
3.Bridge Foundation Support
Employed in bridge abutments and foundations to achieve stability, particularly in soft soil/water construction situations.
4.Port & Wharf Construction
They are also used to construct port, jetty and wharf facilities, the stack piles act as retaining walls that can withhold heavy loads in marine infrastructure projects.
