sheet pile interlock types
Design: Interlocking Steel Sheet Pile, permeability ≤1×10⁻⁷ cm/s
Americas: Meets ASTM D5887 Standard for a Liner to Reduce Seepage Under Drums
Southeast Asia: Groundwater-seepage proof for tropical rainy seasons
Steel Sheet Pile Production process
1.Raw Material Preparation
The high quality steel billets are well selected and inspected to make sure the chemical composition and quality are up to the standards.
2.Heating up
The billets are heated in a reheating furnace to the rolling temperature (about 1200°C) .
3.Hot Rolling
Hot billets are rolled through a series of rolling mills to produce the Larssen sheet pile profile with uniform dimensions and interlocks.
4.Cooling
The sheet piles produced are cooled under controlled conditions to obtain the required mechanical properties.
5.Straightening & Cutting
They are straightened and cut into standard or customized length.
6.Inspection & Testing
There are dimensional inspection and mechanical test of the products, the Mill Test Certificate (MTC) is provided.
7.Surface Treatment (Optional)
A coating, such as paint, epoxy or galvanizing, can be applied to protect against rust.
Steel Sheet Pile Surface
Americas:HDG as ASTM A123 (min zinc coat ≥ 85 µm); 3PE coating is optional; all finishes RoHS compliant.
Southeast Asia:The thickness of hot dip galvanized is hollyh (over 100μm), and two layers of epoxy coal tar coating are applied, it can be salt sprayed tested for 5000 hours without rust, is the best for tropical marine environment use.
APPLICATION
Marine & Waterfront – Construction of wharves, embankments, and harbor breakwaters to prevent soil erosion.
Flood & Erosion Control – Riverbank protection, flood walls, and coastal protection to resist floods and wave erosion.
Excavation & Construction Support – Excavation pit support, pipeline construction, and underground parking garage or subway construction to ensure soil stability.
Civil Infrastructure – Bridge abutments, road slope protection, and railway subgrade reinforcement.
Industrial & Land Reclamation – Industrial land reclamation, soil contamination containment, and retaining walls for hydraulic engineering projects.
Why Choose China Royal Steel for Steel Sheet Piles
Different types of sections: A number of series with different geometrical profiles, making it possible to select a technically and economically optimal section for each project. Our standard stock of U-type hot rolled sheet piles is more than 80,000 tons.
Great Structural Properties:Deep corrugation and high thickness of the flanges result in excellent load bearing and flexural properties.
Reuse potential: Symmetrical single element design allows high potential of reusability for the future projects.
Improved Installation: Pile can be fabricated and pinned into pairs at the mill for better installation quality and overall performance.
