| Parameter | Common Range | ASTM A6/A6M Tolerance | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Depth (H) | 100–600 mm (4"–24") | ±3 mm (±1/8") | Actual depth must not exceed tolerance from nominal size |
| Flange Width (B) | 100–250 mm (4"–10") | ±3 mm (±1/8") | Width uniformity ensures stable load-bearing |
| Web Thickness (t_w) | 4–13 mm | ±10% or ±1 mm (whichever is larger) | Web thickness tolerances affect shear capacity |
| Flange Thickness (t_f) | 6–20 mm | ±10% or ±1 mm (whichever is larger) | Critical for bending strength |
| Length (L) | 6–12 m standard; custom up to 15–18 m | +50 / 0 mm | No minus tolerance allowed |
| Straightness | — | 1/1000 of length | Example: max 12 mm camber for 12 m beam |
| Flange Squareness | — | ≤ 4% of flange width | Ensures proper welding and alignment |
| Twist | — | ≤ 4 mm per meter | Important for long-span beams |

PACKING
Empty Comprehensive Protection & Packaging: Each package of I-beams is tightly wrapped in tarpaulin with 2-3 desiccant packs inside each pack and tied under heat-sealed, rainproof layer to keep it away from getting wet.
Secure Bundling: Straps of 12–16 mm Φ steel bands are used per the bundle which are made to be fitted to lifting equipment at US ports, and it is safe to put 2–3 tons per bundle.
Clear compliance labeling: Bilingual (English/Spanish) labels are affixed to each bundle with critical information such as material grade, specifications, HS code, batch #, and test report reference.
Special Treatment for Large size Profile: For I-beam with section height ≥800mm, the steel surface is applied with industrial alignment oil and covered with tarpaulin for double protection.
